I got a nice note from Shaun, the mysterious and prolific curator of tenzenmen out of that corner of the world known as Oceania, following my write-up on Duck Fight Goose. I was thankful to hear that my words have already reached so far, and now I can't un-glue myself from tenzenmen's extensive list of artists.
Of particular note, my dial is stuck on these two for the foreseeable future:
Alpine Decline is L.A. based duo Jonathan Zeitlin and Pauline Mu who come together to synthesize an unique and celestial psych-rock with a thoughtful touch of sentimentality.
XDS—formerly known as Experimental Dental School—assembles its particles into a similar spectrum of noisy experimental math-rock and is, coincidentally, also a duet currently consisting of Portland-based Jesse Hall and Maxamillion Avalon. You can download their album Forest Field in its entirety on their website.
