Been listening to this pretty much non-stop for the last two weeks. Polvo's latest release, "Siberia," brings back the group's spooky vocal aesthetic, otherworldly lyrics and penchant for sweetly dissonant guitar harmonies and droning pedal bass-lines. Their last was "In Prism" in 2009, after a twelve-year hiatus.
Really, I'm just satisfied by the opening line of the album's first track:
"The hippie was gone before the lights came on; he got sick, of the hippie chick."
